Hey Amber Chase! It’s going to be a B-E-A-Utiful weekend! Not only that, but tomorrow is promising to be just as wonderful and sunshiny as today! And guess what else? No below 30 temperatures! Well, not during the day at least. Isn’t that great! Spring is finally trying to make an appearance! I, personally hope that it sticks around, because all of this winter weather has become highly overrated! Let’s here it for Spring!
Let your passion motivate you….

I’m a dancer. I have been for most of my life. It is what I love to do. It is who I am. I wouldn’t change that for anything in this world. When I am on the stage, I feel like I’m being transported to a different world, where it’s only me, the stage, the lights, the music, and my rhythm. I never realize that I’m on stage until the music stops and the applause begins. Dancing has brought me from being a shy little girl, to a grown, confidant woman.
This being said, I’m here to deliver a message. Don’t ever be afraid to go after what you believe in. Don’t let someone discourage you from doing what you believe is right. For example, when I audition, I always hear the same wise words of advice: Because you are here, there are three other dancers that stayed home. They let intimidation cloud their chances of becoming successful. If you don’t go out and put forth a valiant effort into what you want, and if you don’t show that this is really what you want, why should people remember you? Why would they remember that one face in the back of the crowd, when there is someone equally if not better qualified striding to the front row? Though this is a dance example, it can work in any situation.
Moral of the story: follow your dreams. Go for what you believe in. Don’t let anyone stand in your way, steal your shine, diminish your confidence, or deter you from your actions. If you want it, take it, because no one will do it for you.
What are you passionate about?
That Ain’t Santa Comin Down the Chimney….

You know Amber Chase, I don’t know why certain stories surprise me anymore. On my morning trek around the World Wide Web, I stumbled upon a video that I found to be interesting. Now, I know that my sense of humor can be a little stretched, but I found this funny.
A 19-year-old male in Sao Paulo, Brazil attempted to rob a restaurant late Monday, by sneaking in through the brick oven chimney. And he got stuck. What sucked for him was that no one was there at the time, seeing as how the manager had gone home early.
Now, the funny thing about the video, is that one of the first images is of the guy’s soot covered feet just dangling from the chimney. That tickled every last one of my funny bones.
The manager says that she came into the restaurant to screams and seeing feet dangling from the chimney. I can only imagine what was going on in her head. Firefighters had to destroy the chimney to get the guy out, who only suffered minor injuries. Police later charged him with attempted robbery.
You have to watch to see if you find it funny or not, however. What would you have done if you were the manager, and came in to see feet swinging from your chimney?

Hey guys! Have you ever been watching a movie and thought to have seen something that you shouldn’t have? Or have you every watched your favorite movie for the umpteenth time, and noticed little things that you’ve missed? A car being involved in an accident and driving away perfectly fine in the next scene? A cup half empty one shot and totally full in the next? Well, having a television background, I catch these things all of the time, and I’d like to enlighten you to some of them. (Trust me, there are many!) I’ll bet you pay more attention when watching movies after this!
In ‘The Matrix’, when Agent Smith is interrogating Neo, after Smith has sealed Neo’s mouth shut and he is backed into the corner, when the camera cuts back to Smith you can clearly see a reflection in his glasses of Neo still sitting down in the chair.
Quirky, huh?

Hello everyone! Are there any basketball enthusiasts out there? Well, I’m one!
I was looking around the internet today, and found a very interesting video. Local teen ball players from schools around Georgia compete for the title and respect of being the 2010 AJC (Atlanta Journal Constitution) Slam Dunk Contest Winner.
The Slam Dunk Contest has always been one of my favorite events at the NBA All-Star games. It’s always great to see new talent and too see outstanding displays from the old pros. (I especially loves it when King James takes the court!) With the talent that these teenagers possess, it doesn’t look like it’ll be too long before they’ll be featured in an All-Star spectacular!
Check it out!
Fun Filled Weekend!

Hey Amber Chase! Is anyone planning on heading to Atlanta for some weekend fun? With warmer weather and clear skies predicted for this weekend, everyone will want to shake of their February chills, and shed added King Cake and Valentine’s candy pounds, and get in some outdoor activity! Or you can do an indoor activity, your choice.
There’s actually a good handful of activities that you can choose from.
For instance, this is the final weekend to see the “Leonardo da Vinci: Hand of the Genius” exhibit at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta. Additionally, and something that I am personally interested in, the Alvin Ailey Dance Company will be performing tonight at 8 pm at the Fox Theater. The show is so entertaining, powerful, and just an absolute joy to watch.
For theater lovers, Atlanta Lyric Theatre’s “The All Night Strut!” opens at 8 p.m. at the Earl Smith Strand Theater in Marietta.
If you know of any other activities going on , let us know in the comments section! What are your plans for the weekend?
Recipe of the Week: Inside-Out Cheeseburgers
Hi Amber Chase! Do you enjoy a good burger every now and then? I do. But instead of heading to your local fast food eatery, why not try making something yourself. Burgers are usually always easy to make. The only downfall can be the cheese. It melts right off! But, why not make it with the cheese INSIDE so you can enjoy all of the melty goodness? Try this on for size!
Inside-Out Cheeseburgers
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup(s) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup(s) shredded Gruyère cheese
- 1 pound(s) 90%-lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) freshly ground pepper
Directions:
- Preheat grill to medium-high or preheat the broiler.
- Combine Cheddar and Gruyère in a small bowl.
- Gently mix beef, Worcestershire, paprika and pepper in a large bowl, preferably with your hands, without overworking. Shape into 8 thin, 4-inch-wide patties. Mound 2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture on each of 4 patties, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Cover each with one of the remaining patties. Crimp and seal the edges closed.
- To grill: Lightly oil the grill rack. Grill the stuffed patties over medium-high heat, about 4 minutes per side for medium-well. (Be sure not to press the burgers as they cook or they’ll split open and the cheese will ooze out.) To broil: Cover a broiler pan with foil and coat with cooking spray. Broil the stuffed patties in the upper third of the oven, about 4 minutes per side for medium-well. In either case, let the burgers stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Enjoy!
